behind the scenes

We’re fully insured and food licensed with Moreton Bay Regional Council (incl. food safety certification and approved kitchen). We love a challenge and we take pride in investing in learning new skills, testing and trialing new techniques, recipes and cake flavour combinations.

When do I need to place my order?

You can place an order up to 12 months in advance. We cannot make any guarantees that there will be availability so please book early to avoid disappointment. I work full time as a graphic designer so I only take two to three orders a week to ensure your cake gets the attention it deserves.

Do you offer pick up/delivery?

We are based in Dayboro and pick up is available on Friday evenings and Saturday/Sunday mornings. Delivery is available from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast. Brisbane locations start at $40. Bribie Island, Ipswich, Mt Tamborine, Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast etc will be quoted on request.

Can I taste your cake?

Every quarter we offer tasting boxes for our wedding clients. These are $30 and include six cake samples of our most popular flavours and two small sugar cookies ($20 is redeemable against your cake order). Please get in contact via our contact form here if you would like to go on the list for our next round of tasters.

Can my florist or I put flowers on the cake?

I am more than happy to work with your florist… in fact I actually recommend this – it gives your event a beautiful flow! I am responsible for ensuring your cake is safe to eat and free from contamination and preparing/taping/wiring the flowers is included in delivery/set up costs and something I take very seriously.

I strongly advise against placing florals on the cake yourself. They must be prepared correctly and meet certain food safety standards in order to prevent contamination of the cake, reduce serving sizes and potentially harm your guests.

Do you offer gluten/DAIRY free or vegan options?

We offer a gluten and/or dairy free chocolate cake as an option. Whilst we offer this option, we are not a gluten/dairy free kitchen and due to the nature of our business, cannot guarantee that any item is 100% allergen free. These products are ordered at your own risk.

At this stage we’re still working on perfecting our vegan recipes.

Payment & Cancellation Terms

A 50% non-refundable deposit or save-the-date payment is required to confirm your order. This secures a position in our diary and closes this spot off to other bookings. Full payment for the order is to be made two weeks (2) weeks before delivery or collection of the cake. Cakes will not be released unless full payment has been received. Orders made two weeks (2) prior to your event require full payment to secure your booking.

We are unable to accept cancellations of orders within two weeks (2) of your event. In some, but not all cases, it may be possible for us to offer a partial credit for a future purchase to use within 12 months. The amount of credit will depend on how much work has already been done on the cancelled order and excludes the 50% non-refundable deposit. We retain the right to cancel the booking in very unusual circumstances beyond our control, such as ill health or family emergency, during which we will refund any money taken in full or organise another local cake decorator to provide a replacement.

By placing an order with Confetti Cake Co. you are agreeing to the payment and cancellation terms and conditions displayed above and on the bottom of your invoice.
